NO ROAD, NO VOTE - ANKOMAH, ABISU NO 1 TELLS AKUFFO-ADDO
The aggrieved residents living in Ankoma electoral area in the Kwahu East District of the Eastern Region respectively has threatened the Government over their deplorable road network linking the two communities.
According to the farmers and drivers who use the said route says that after harvesting their crops, they find it difficult to board a car to send their crops to a nearby town to sell since the drivers are afraid to come there with their vehicles.
According to them, they have being facing this huge challenge for more than 20 years now and nothing has been done about it despite their several complains and now calling on the Government to come to their aid.
Speaking to Ryt TV, they revealed that whenever it rain, the drivers finds it very difficult to come there due to the flooded nature of it.
However, they “when it is time for vote, Ghanaian leadership will come around and after voting none of them will even decide to pay a visit to us”.
They accused the Member of Parliament, Hon. Bryan Acheampong for failing to honour the promise he made to them.
“The MP of this constituency (Abetifi constituency) always promise us that the road will be constructed “they said.
Some of the residents In Abisu NO1noted that pregnant who are in labour dies whiles being conveyed to a nearby CHPS Compound at Ankoma Kwahu since the drivers has refused to come there due to the condition of their road.
“There are few teachers here due to that, we have taken a teacher who is now teaching the nursery class and we the parents are responsible for the payment of the teacher every month” they added.
